I bought my ticket to Anime Expo as soon as registration was available after the convention in 2010 for 2011.  I was then let go from my position of nearly 8 years a department manager with paid vacation and sick time (which they screwed me out of) so I could not go last year.  I rolled the ticket over to this year in hopes that I could save the needed money for the trip.  It didn't happen (wedding, husband's heart attack, car repairs - crap just kept happening).
